Bucket Elevator
The bucket elevator is one of the most efficient methods to vertically lift the bulk materials. It consists of a series of buckets attached to the belt or the chain with pulleys or sprockets located at the top and bottom of the unit. The bucket is in a casing or housing to contain the material. When the bucket passes the inlet point, the bulk materials are loaded into each bucket .

The bucket picks up the material from the storage, and is lifted to the top by the conveyor belt or chain, then it turns down after bypassing the top wheel, and the material is poured into the receiving trough. The drive belt of the belt-operated bucket elevator is generally made of rubber and is mounted on the lower or upper drive roller and the upper and lower redirecting rollers. The chain-driven bucket elevator is generally equipped with two parallel drive chains with a pair of drive sprockets on the top or the bottom and a pair of reversing sprockets on the bottom or the top. Bucket elevators are generally equipped with shells to prevent dust from flying inside the machine.
